STANDARDS

A reference point against which other things can be evaluated; specifically, a citation of a domain-specific or IT specification (be it voluntary, industry, consortia, regulatory) designed to improve machine interoperability and/or human understanding. Rationale: Used to understand how resources conform to standards. Refer to the GeoPlatform Portfolio Model for further information.
